RBGC Veterans | Recommencing News

After consultation with the Club we have approval to recommence our Tuesday Competitions.

We plan to restart on Tuesday 2nd June 2020.

We will play 14 holes Single Stableford with everyone teeing off No. 1 Hole.

Because of the Government’s Distancing Rules our Shot Gun starts will no longer be possible.  So, we need to revert to staggered times.

Tee off times from 8.30 to 10.30 am will be available on the Club’s Website.

Two players can share a cart.

Four in a group is also permitted.

As the Non-contact and Distancing Rules are still in force, we need to abide by the following:-

  1. No nearest to pins.

  2. Putt with the flag stick still in the hole.

  3. Score and sign your own card and keep a record of your playing partners score on your card. (In case any checking is required).

  4. Do not arrive on course any earlier than 10 minutes prior to your tee time.

Your Vets Handicap will be on a Sheet in the Golf Shop.  If you do not have a Vets Handicap you will start on your G/A Handicap.

After your game check your score with your partner, sign your card and place in the box near the Golf Shop.

Payment of Competition Fees and Cart Hire can now be paid by Credit Card or Cash.

This is our only form of revenue raising so we ask you to support this.  A Box will be in the Golf Shop with the sheet so that you can select a number and place your money in the Box provided.

The Raffle will be drawn later and winners will be advised on the Result Sheet.  Prize Money from the Raffle will be given to you the following week.

All prizes from the game will be credited to your Trophy Account (winners, runners-up and ball run downs.)

There will be no presentation in the Clubhouse thus alleviating any gatherings.

We are very fortunate we can restart the Vets Competition so please everybody abide by the Government’s protocols which will be in force for some time.

Please play your game, put your card in the box and go home.

This is very importantIf you have a cough or are feeling unwell, do not come to the course.

Most importantly enjoy your golf.
