Dealing with Complaints
Steps for the Committee to consider if a written complaint is made to the Management Committee follows. The written complaint should outline the nature of the grievance the date and time of the grievance, what the member/employee have done to try to resolve the matter themselves and provide any witnesses to the grievance and outline what they think would be an appropriate consequence.

As a result of this procedure, consequences may take several forms during the course of 12 months.
A Guide is outlined below.
If the complaint is substantiated and the Code of Conduct is broken then, depending on whether it is the first breach or one of several breaches or the seriousness of the breach, some of the consequences could be:-
(a) Give the accused and the complainant a copy of the Code of Conduct.
(b) A verbal apology from the accused to the complainant.
(c) A written apology from the accused to the complainant.
(d) A written apology from the accused to the complainant with the understanding that any further breaches would incur a more serious consequence.
(e) A written warning from the Management Committee to indicate that further breaches would result in suspension of Membership.
(f) Different periods of suspension dependent on the number of breaches.
(g) Termination of membership.
